What we collect
As little as possible. The Worldstone API and Reddit app display public game information and require no account, sign-up, or personal details. The single exception is the optional alerts feature, described below.
- API server logs — standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) used solely for rate limiting, abuse prevention, and operations. Rotated and not used for profiling.
- Reddit app— runs entirely on Reddit’s Devvit platform. It reads only the context Reddit provides (e.g. subreddit name) to render the experience. It sets no cookies and sends no user data to Demonly LLC or anyone else. Requests from the app to our API are server-to-server and carry no Reddit user identity. Unless you turn on alerts, it stores nothing about you at all.
Alerts (optional push notifications)
Worldstone can send you a Reddit notification when a world boss is about to spawn or another event you picked is starting. It is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off in one tap from the bell in the app.
If you turn alerts on, one record is stored against your Reddit user ID:
- which alert types you chose
- the time-of-day window you chose, stored as a UTC hour range
- a schema version number
That is the entire record — three integers. We do not store your username, your timezone, your location, your IP address, your device details, or any history of notifications sent to you.
About the time window. The app asks you to pick an afternoon or evening window in your own local time, pre-filled from your device clock. Your browser converts that choice into a plain UTC hour before sending it, so your timezone is never transmitted to us and never stored — only the resulting hour range.
Whether you are subscribed at all is held by Reddit, not by us.Worldstone reads that status live each time you open the post and keeps no copy of it. Reddit delivers the notifications; we only tell Reddit which users should receive a given message. Reddit’s own Privacy Policy governs that processing.
How long we keep it.Turning alerts off deletes your record immediately. If you stop visiting, it is deleted automatically 30 days after your last visit to the post — that expiry is extended only by you opening the post, never by us sending you something, so a record cannot be kept alive by our own activity. Deleting your Reddit account removes you from Reddit’s opted-in list, after which the same 30-day expiry clears the record. We keep no backups or de-identified copies of these records.
Alerts are entirely optional and nothing is gated behind them. Every other part of Worldstone — timers, the Blizzard tracker, news, season information — works identically whether they are on or off.
What we don’t do
No selling of data, no advertising trackers, no analytics beyond aggregate request counts, no sharing with third parties except as required by law.
Third-party content
Links in the app lead to external sites (Blizzard forums and news, community tracker sites, video platforms). Their privacy practices are their own; review their policies when you follow a link.
